I think it was Oscar Wilde who said 'Anybody can sympathise with the sufferings of a friend, but it requires a very fine nature to sympathise with a friend's success'.

dith - that's not correct! I was close to scoring an A, but in the cutthroat world of medicine, close is not good enough :(
how about a girlfriend's success? that's probably very tough to sympathize with.
